Last Friday I played The Sims 2 and lost a whole day to that damn game. It threw me off my schedule so bad that I'm still paying for it. I caved on Monday night (to sleep, it was 3am) and didn't finish my homework for Screenwriting, but class was over before we got to me. WIN.
Sandra McCoy has a new business. The web site's adorably horrible, but I find it amusing that she's helping others when her career itself could use some boosting. But then again, I've heard of every one of the girls on the testimonials page so she might be onto something here.
Onto last week's TV:
In Plain Sight: THAT EPISODE. :O JOSH COOKE. THE ORIGINS OF MARSHALL AND MARY! MARY WITH BANGS! MARY BEING CYNICAL AND ANTI-ROMANTIC! SKA;DASDSA New third favorite, honestly. I'm kind of tired of Janney's character already because Mary versus other women at WitSec (that other therapist lady, the one Stan fell for, etc) gets old after a while.
Supernatural: Cas's voicemail message was hysterical. As was drunk!Cas (Sassyyyyyy). I liked the end scene. The acting was really good, but the editing ruined it.
I think I'll have to see it again though, because people are saying it was heartbreaking. While I rarely find this show emotional, I usually understand what scenes people are referring to, and I have no idea this week.
And this week, so far:
Brothers & Sisters: I am shocked at that "movie." I was not looking forward to it because this show has been so lame and laggy lately with all the storylines that aren't really dramatic (Justin/Rebecca, Kitty's cancer and affair, anything with Ojai, Ryan) but I really, really actually enjoyed that. It took thirty minutes for me to settle in, but then I barely noticed the time going by and I really didn't expect a lot of the twists it took. Dear ABC, do that more often. This show used to be better than resorting to sweeps crap when it needed to.
The Pacific: WHY HOOSIER. WHYYYYYYYYYY. At leaast Runner's still alive, but still. Jacobbbbbbbb.
I did like that fourth episode with Leckie at the hospital, and Eugene's first brush with war. I felt bad for him but lol, that's what you get. Poor kid. Sid's speech when they were skipping stones was beautiful but lol what 20-something speaks like that. It's like an Advice Dog meme: GO TO WAR, BE PROLIFIC.
Jonas: I FINALLY got around to watching the last five episodes of Jonas. And
splits_thesky was right, the Haunted Firehouse was pretty awesome, as was the finale. I can't get enough of shows that do the CSI: Miami meme, even though they kinda ran it into the ground here. I'm not sure if the majority of their fanbase gets the joke, either.
Tremé was good too, but I can't say I'm intrigued by much of what's going on just yet. I'll probably watch it as it gets uploaded on OnDemand.
TBBT and V were okay, and HIMYM is giving me problems, so I don't know when I'll be watching that one. Aaaaand I just realized I missed AOP typing this. But now is Modern Family, so I will go watch that, then HIMYM if it works.

Date: 2010-04-18 04:45 am (UTC)Yeah, SPN definitely has a ... 'special' fanbase. The show really starts to pick on and make fun of them (they call it an 'homage' or tribute but... that seems more of a thin veil for something else, imo) in the fourth and fifth seasons in a way I've never seen a show do before.
