Last Friday I played The Sims 2 and lost a whole day to that damn game. It threw me off my schedule so bad that I'm still paying for it. I caved on Monday night (to sleep, it was 3am) and didn't finish my homework for Screenwriting, but class was over before we got to me. WIN.

Sandra McCoy has a new business. The web site's adorably horrible, but I find it amusing that she's helping others when her career itself could use some boosting. But then again, I've heard of every one of the girls on the testimonials page so she might be onto something here.

Onto last week's TV:

In Plain Sight: THAT EPISODE. :O JOSH COOKE. THE ORIGINS OF MARSHALL AND MARY! MARY WITH BANGS! MARY BEING CYNICAL AND ANTI-ROMANTIC! SKA;DASDSA New third favorite, honestly. I'm kind of tired of Janney's character already because Mary versus other women at WitSec (that other therapist lady, the one Stan fell for, etc) gets old after a while.

Supernatural: Cas's voicemail message was hysterical. As was drunk!Cas (Sassyyyyyy). I liked the end scene. The acting was really good, but the editing ruined it.

I think I'll have to see it again though, because people are saying it was heartbreaking. While I rarely find this show emotional, I usually understand what scenes people are referring to, and I have no idea this week.

And this week, so far:

Brothers & Sisters: I am shocked at that "movie." I was not looking forward to it because this show has been so lame and laggy lately with all the storylines that aren't really dramatic (Justin/Rebecca, Kitty's cancer and affair, anything with Ojai, Ryan) but I really, really actually enjoyed that. It took thirty minutes for me to settle in, but then I barely noticed the time going by and I really didn't expect a lot of the twists it took. Dear ABC, do that more often. This show used to be better than resorting to sweeps crap when it needed to.

The Pacific: WHY HOOSIER. WHYYYYYYYYYY. At leaast Runner's still alive, but still. Jacobbbbbbbb.

I did like that fourth episode with Leckie at the hospital, and Eugene's first brush with war. I felt bad for him but lol, that's what you get. Poor kid. Sid's speech when they were skipping stones was beautiful but lol what 20-something speaks like that. It's like an Advice Dog meme: GO TO WAR, BE PROLIFIC.

Jonas: I FINALLY got around to watching the last five episodes of Jonas. And [livejournal.com profile] splits_thesky was right, the Haunted Firehouse was pretty awesome, as was the finale. I can't get enough of shows that do the CSI: Miami meme, even though they kinda ran it into the ground here. I'm not sure if the majority of their fanbase gets the joke, either.

Tremé was good too, but I can't say I'm intrigued by much of what's going on just yet. I'll probably watch it as it gets uploaded on OnDemand.

TBBT and V were okay, and HIMYM is giving me problems, so I don't know when I'll be watching that one. Aaaaand I just realized I missed AOP typing this. But now is Modern Family, so I will go watch that, then HIMYM if it works.

Yeah, I guess so. It seems to be working. I guess the dance studio idea crapped out with the engagement to Jared. :/

Me too! I was hoping that pilot she mentioned a while back would turn into something, but I haven't heard anything about it since. Maybe she'll pop back up on Secret Girlfriend and battle it out with Taylor Cole's character or something.

I also have a horrible addiction to the sims 2. I can stay up forever and play it. Add on to that the custom items and stuff from mod the sims and I will never stop.

I have also been lax in the doing if the homework department but it is because I have just discovered supernatural and have been doing nothing but watching it. I started watching it last week and I am on the last episode of season four.

Yeah, I hadn't played in a while because of school and I haven't worked on my legacy in forever (it's so sad, I started in 2006 and am only on generation three), but it is addicting.

haha, oh SPN. I go back and forth with that show, but it has its moments. Plus, the writing part of that fandom is insane-- you can literally find any kind of fanfiction you're looking for. :)

I have been trying to stay away from endless games like that and stick to games that actually end. I have been somewhat successful in this, but I think i spend just as much time playing video games, it is just hopping from one game to the next as soon as i finish one as opposed to playing an endless one for hours on end.

I also have mixed feelings about the show but I am mostly enjoying it. and yes,
I thought that the other fandoms I were involved in were crazy. that was a lie supernatural takes the cake.

Yeah, I've been stuck on video games lately. It's my own fault-- I'm taking seven classes at school, I'm in two _land challenge comms, I have the Psych Rewatch comm, I watch too many shows on TV and podcasts online so I feel like I'm drowning too much to waste time on video games like I used to (I used to play at least two games a day console or handheld!). So yeah, I should be focusing more on games with endings than The Sims.

Yeah, SPN definitely has a ... 'special' fanbase. The show really starts to pick on and make fun of them (they call it an 'homage' or tribute but... that seems more of a thin veil for something else, imo) in the fourth and fifth seasons in a way I've never seen a show do before.

I had a fic idea earlier this year about him figuring out voicemail, but I never did it. That was perfect, though.

Same! I love how Joe kept pulling out new glasses. His skinny jean pockets aren't THAT deep. :P

The sims is so addicting, though. Once you start, you can't quite. Sometimes it's fun just screwing with a family or sim just to seem how crazy you can make them

Yeah, that day I was playing one family the whole time, trying out the home business thing from OFB. I always gave up in the past but I was reading at the same time so I figured I could just '3' it and see where they were when I was done with the chapters. Except... I forgot about the book 40 mins in.

splits_thesky was right, the Haunted Firehouse was pretty awesome

RIGHT

...also, I am JUST SAYING, there is a REASON Joe has replaced Nick as my favorite (not that Kevin is my least favorite!! ...I mean, I guess if you look at it this way, he is, but I DO LOVE HIM I PROMISE!!!!)

And aww, Sandy. I can't say I'm super-optimistic for this venture of hers, but I REALLY DO hope it succeeds, just because she's AWESOME.<3333

I wanted to just like, show it to everyone, idk. LOOK, THIS IS A LEGIT FUNNY SHOW. Also, I hope Alex Albrecht wasn't joking when he said he got an offer about this show (AND THAT HE ACCEPTED) because fuck yeah, I would be so excited about that. Although IDEKKKKKKKK what he would be.... a teacher? An agent?

KEVIN IS MY FAVORITE NOW. OH HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED (AHAHA, I NEED THAT VIDEO AS A .GIF, DAMNIT.)

Saaaaaaame. If I was in Cali I'd totally sign up just to give her some business! And if I had friends in Cali, I'd tell them to sign up. AND EVERYONE SHOULD SIGN UP, BECAUSE JARED IS A LOSER AND SANDY IS AWESOME.
