Last night I watched this movie called After Sex. I LOVED IT. It's a series of vignettes of couples talking right after sex. If you liked Waking Life or movies like that where it's all just talk (I call them "straight plays on film" even though most films can technically be called that), I recommend you seek it out. :) It was only on my radar because Emmanuelle Chriqui was in it but the rest of the cast is pretty good, as are the conversations. Also, James DeBello was never really on my radar much before (creeper from Swimfan!), but in this movie I realized he looks like a cross between Seth Rogen and Brendan Fraser and that kinda blew my mind.
THERE'S A NEW PSYCH COMMERCIAL, EVERYONE. Apparently they can't officially upload it until January due to licensing or something but omg, I love this showwwww. I just wish Henry was in it too. There's six people in the original video. :/
White Collar: LOLOLOL NEAL IS AWESOME. I can't believe that worked (the logic behind it, um, no) but still fun! And I'm not buying that ending. Something's up.
Monk: Jo's not dead! She's in San Francisco! lol, random casting is random. But incredibly sweet. It reminded me of the end of Ally McBeal with the way Monk finds someone to care for, even if she's old enough to care for herself. And I don't know the in and out of this show but I'm having problems with the fact that Trudy had an affair. It makes sense, because who dies like that if it's not a huge conspiracy, and I know Monk had this idealized version of her but wow, what a way for his perception of her to crumble fast and hard. I have a huge problem with others destroying the image of people after their death... but I guess it was Trudy herself in this situation so lol, conflict. Poor Monk. But a happy ending! So there's that.
AND NOW PSYCH IS THE OLDEST SHOW ON THIS NETWORK (well, besides L&O: CI, but you know). IDK IDK IDK
Day 01 → Your favorite song
Day 02 → Your favorite movie
Day 03 → Your favorite television program
Day 04 → Your favorite book
A Clockwork Orange. You know how everyone seems to fall in love with Catcher in the Rye in high school? Yeah, not me. My teacher had to check with our principal for permission to let us read this book, so we all felt a little empowered that the school let us read it. But it helped me out in Russian classes (droogs! moloko! kroovy!) and showed me the genre of dystopian literature that I have come to adore. I owe this book-- and that sophomore year English class a lot.

I am trying to wade through Catcher in the Rye. Not what I was expecting. It's a very strange sort of book.
What are you expecting from Psych in January??

Date: 2009-12-06 08:34 am (UTC)I thought so too. ;)
It is, I see why people like it, but it's the same sort of thing I've read elsewhere in better books.
I don't know, really. I want more moments with his mom, maybe. Or Abby, because it's fun watching Juliet squirm over that relationship. More about Gus maybe, because those episodes seem to be funnier, especially when Shawn has no idea about it, like Mira or the acapella group.

Date: 2009-12-06 03:20 pm (UTC)Think there is any luck that little boy cat will return? I also like when Buzz is on it more. I hate how they sometimes forget about him or have him way in the background.

Date: 2009-12-05 07:30 pm (UTC)Also, A Clockwork Orange on last night. I've never read the book, but its certainly one of the greatest/most disturbing movies. I despise A Catcher in the Rye, though. I'm glad it was never assigned to me in school.

Date: 2009-12-06 08:38 am (UTC)The movie doesn't seem to have the same impact as the book, it's definitely quirkier and strange. But Malcolm McDowell! <33

Date: 2009-12-05 08:49 pm (UTC)Ok. WHITE COLLAR WHAAAAAAAT. I seriously was saying WHAAAAAAT over and over with this face :O :O :O at the end. PETER?! Man that can't be right?! WHAT. Neal is so fly! I just go with it for the sake of fun but how there happened to be a bakery with an awning right below the room where he was to meet the judge was kinda YEAH RIGHT. But IT WAS SO COOL when he jumped out the window. And that shrug he gave Peter. I was like HAH OH MY WHAT. My word for White Collar is obviously: WHAT. (In the good way.)
Ok now that Monk is over I really wanna marathon it. My aunt owns the DVDs for S2-S6 or 7. So I'll have to dl S1. I've seen a few eps when it was ABC for a while, but then ABC yanked it off after a month or something, whut.

Date: 2009-12-06 08:45 am (UTC)haha, that was the reason he bought that bakery! So he could put the awning there. But I mean, there's no way you could sign over a building and open a bakery in that amount of time, especially in NY. So yeah, HIGHLY ILLOGICAL but fun. :D And YES when he jumped I was like, "AHAHA FUCK YEAH NEALLLLL." Peter just standing there in awe was priceless. And I don't even know what's going on with that finale. I'm happy their hiatus isn't as long as the other USA shows, though.
Monk is a good show with heart. There were just some times when it got too depressing and hit too close to home for me, so I couldn't watch it all the time.
I was tired of Shalhoub winning awards all the time (which were totally deserved but still) and was glad they were hanging up the hat. But last night I was still all, "WHY MUST YOU LEAVEEEE, IT'S NOT USA WITHOUT MONKKKK."
