1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate OR Apple Cider? DUH Egg Nog. I loved it so much it was one part of my first AOL sn. Shut up, lol
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree? I guess both? Maybe the elves do the wrapping. LMAO oh man, my nephew is brighter than me. He noticed that Santa and his parents had the same wrapping and found it odd. I used to just think it was cool like maybe they shopped in the same place?
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I used to love the colors, because what's fun about monotone as a kid? Now I'm more inclined to the white lights.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, if anyone did in this house I'd hack it down. But I've never actually seen real mistletoe. Just plastic.
5. When do you put your decorations up? Sometime before Xmas? LOL usually the week or so before or after Thanksgiving.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Cranberry sauce, hands down. And steamed veggies is a fcking tradition.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: Thanksgiving dinners. They are always my favorites. But Xmas memories had to be going to the Knights of Columbus parties. My cousins and I always had plans every year to bring something along.
8. When did you find out the truth about Santa? I don't remember exactly, most likely 9 or 10. I wrote the tooth fairy a note saying "I know who you are." And then had a dream that she simply wrote back "Bon R", which eerily, was the company my dad worked for at the time. When I woke up I found a note that said "I don't think you do" but it was obviously my dad's handwriting.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? At least two. We all do.
10. How do you decorate your christmas tree? Lights, ornaments. Since 9/11 we've put two flags at the top instead of a star.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it until it's four days old and just gets in the way when I'm trying to cross the street.
12. Can you ice skate? I used to be really good. Then I got boobs and they threw me off, unfortunately. I can't skate for crap now.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? I think I cried when I got my Power Rangers Titan. Or my red power wheels car. My father totally went against my "no huge presents" policy last year and caught me off guard with the PSP and Johnny Cash and Warren Zevon CDs (I never thought I'd actually get a Cash or Zevon CD as a present) I LIED. MY FAVORITE GIFT EVER WAS 2-XL. I STILL HAVE HIM.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Watching everyone go off to different corners of the house with their presents like little kids. Then we all go wandering around to see what everyone else is doing. When I was younger the best part was waiting for dad to get all the batteries and stickers into the presents so I could play.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Recently my mom's figured out how to make flan that isn't bitter (cream cheese, not milk) so that's grand. Other than that, I guess my scones?
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Well, when we used to go to midnight mass (when we used to go to church AT ALL) and I'd be half asleep at 1am and we'd watch South Park specials and open presents.
17. Christmas tree. Real or fake? We had a fake one when I was younger. We got rid of that one, then it was real for about three years, and then we got another fake one. It's about due to be axed, no pun intended.
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? Receiving. XP I'm spoiled, what?
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Supposedly when I was younger it was "Santa Claus is coming to town". I like "Grown-Up Christmas List" now, and that damn Mariah Carey song. ZOMG AND DOMINIC THE DONKEY! It's not Xmas without that one.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? YUCK. They're ok but then they get sticky and slobbery and I'm not a fan.
I caused a back-up of clients at work today. It took all I had to not cry in front of everyone. Plus every time I wrote out a zero on a gift card I put a loop in it, Red-Phantom style. And I have my sister saying "Dude" now.
I may hate Kevin Pereira, but I love his "It Came from Ebay" segment, and I can't find a YouTube video of that echo. And I just got nostalgic for G4. Dr. Tran! Haha, the sole reason (besides Happy Tree Friends, DUH) that I watched Happy Tree Friends and Friends.
